L.Co recommends using Tung Oil Finish on interior surfaces that will have light to moderate use. We use a high percentage of tung and linseed oils in our Tung Oil Finish that are absorbed into the wood grain which help to emphasize the natural figure and depth of the wood. Because of our high oil content we recommend waiting overnight to allow the surface to dry completely before applying additional coats. For added protection, you can follow up with L.Co Topcoat as a final sealer.
Available in High Gloss, Semi Gloss and Matte sheens.
Use on interior wood surfaces including floors, windows, doors, cabinetry, woodwork, tables, furniture, bar tops, picture frames and various woodworking projects. L.Co Tung Oil Finish can be applied as a sealer, primer, or wood conditioner prior to topcoating. Provides exceptional adhesion to oily, dense woods like teak, rosewood, and walnut.
L.Co’s Tung Oil Finish provides a good balance of beauty, protection, and ease of application for interior decorative woodworking projects that create the look of a traditional hand rubbed polish with a natural sheen. L.Co Tung Oil Finish can be used alone or as an oil treatment and sealer on bare wood prior to topcoating to extend the protection of your finish and bring added depth to the wood grain.
New wood application:
Prepare the surface of the wood by sanding with 180 grit sandpaper. Mix varnish well before and during application and apply with a soft cotton rag, foam brush, or spray gun in quick and light coats. Allow surface to dry overnight before applying additional coats and sand with 400 grit sandpaper between coats. For added protection on work surfaces and tabletops, seal with L.Co Topcoat.
Repair | Maintenance:

Clean application tools immediately with mineral spirits or turpentine. Properly dispose of rags, applicators and waste.
Coverage | Thinning:
4 Liters covers 40 square meters per coat. One Liter covers 10 square meters per coat. The number of coats depends upon the porosity of the wood. No thinning necessary.
Allow surface to dry overnight before applying additional coats. Poor ventilation, high humidity, cool temperatures and subsequent coats may have increased dry times. *See our support page for more information on drying and curing.
